Many schools and businesses are closing for the foreseeable future. Hospitals around the country are preparing for a possible surge in COVID-19 patients by increasing the bed capacity at their facilities. The Army Corps of Engineers is constructing temporary hospitals for COVID-19 patients in heavily impacted areas. Colleges & universities continue to serve the needs of students that can’t get home as well as convert campus locations to rooms for COVID-19 patients. Restaurants, a big part of people’s lives, are struggling to survive during state-mandated shutdowns; many pivoting operations to delivery and takeout, while others have turned into makeshift grocery stores offering prepared foods and pantry staples. Community kitchens are popping up as well.

This will be the new norm for the foreseeable future.
