National American Red Cross Founder's Day

May 21st is National American Red Cross Founder’s Day and marks the anniversary of the American Red Cross founded in 1881 by Clara Barton.  The Red Cross responds to an emergency every 8 minutes; from small house fires to multi-state natural disasters. After the emergency phase of a response is completed, the Red Cross helps organize and execute recovery strategies.

When ill-timed, unplanned disasters strike, foodservice facilities must have a plan to continue operations without delay. Kitchens To Go has worked with disaster relief organizations such as the American Red Cross following a variety of disasters to help keep people fed. An emergency or unplanned situation is not a matter of if, but when. Kitchens To Go is committed to being a part of your first-response team with our mobile, modular, and containerized kitchens.
